Launch or the Otago/Southland Agritourism NZ Regional Network (Oct 2025)

Join one of the Agritourism NZ Regional Networks from $50 a year

The purpose of the regional networks is to connect you - existing and new agritourism operators - with a supportive agritourism community locally and nationally, and to collaborate on learning, advocacy, joint marketing, and shared opportunities.
No overload, just two in-person on-farm meetings a year and two online 'Power Hour' sessions + member benefits and be part of the online (secure) Agritourism Discussion Forum.

In October 2025, the Otago / Southland Agritourism NZ Regional Network was launched and in March 2026, the Canterbury / Marlborough Regional Network.

The Regional Leaders and I have been busy planning the 2026 events and we're all set to go along with the online discussion forum and member benefit. Exciting & fun times!

Below are the different membership levels. Have a look at what works best for you and register today! To the right, you can click on the table that provides an overview of all membership levels.

Other regional networks will be set up this year (Canterbury and Taranaki/Whanganui/Manawatu are next). If you're in another NZ region, do fill out the registration of interest form lower on the page.

Why are we setting up Agritourism NZ Regional  Networks?

Agritourism is a growing sector globally benefiting farmers and rural communities. There's also an increased demand from visitors for agritourism experiences.

The development of regional agritourism networks in NZ has the potential to significantly strengthen the agritourism sector as a way for farmers to diversify their farm income.

These networks will provide a structured approach collaboration, capacity building, and marketing for agritourism operators, driving sustainable growth and economic benefits for farmers and rural communities.

But most of all: it'll be fun! It's about getting together, collaborating, learning and supporting each other!

Agritourism NZ has been awarded an 'Agribusiness Innovation Grant' by AGMARDT to assess the feasibility of setting up a pilot group in Otago/Southland in collaboration with Thriving Southland.

This involved researching international agritourism network models, NZ models, discussions with agricultural organisations and the roll-out of an in-depth survey to assess the interest and format of the regional networks.

A big thank you to AGMARDT and Thriving Southland for their support!
