Agritourism NZ membership

The Agritourism NZ Network is New Zealand's organisation that helps farmers develop and market a quality, sustainable agritourism business and connects them with visitors and agents.

There are three membership levels to choose from:

Agritourism.nz Free Member
For farmers and others interested in agritourism news and opportunities. You'll be kept up to date through our newsletter.

Agritourism.nz (Regular) Member
This membership is for:

Farmers who either already operate an agritourism business (at a basic level) or are thinking of starting an agritourism business.
Organisations who have an interest in agritourism such as RTO’s/ODA’s, government organisations, educational institutions (farm) consultants, etc
Businesses who supply goods and services to agritourism businesses.

You'll receive a website listing to promote your business or organisation, get invited to network meetings, learn through the marketing training webinars, have access to resources etc.

Agritourism.nz Pro Member
This membership is for agritourism operators who are already up and running and want to grow their business and distribution both to domestic visitors as well as international trade channels (through inbound operators and wholesalers). You'll receive all the benefits of the Regular Membership, be represented to inbound operators and wholesalers (through the International Marketing Group)), have access to pro resources, higher online visibility and more.

Note: the maximum number of Pro Members is limited to 35.

Membership criteria

Our Members stand for excellence in terms of:

Quality of visitor/customer experience
Economic and environmental sustainability
Compliance (Health & Safety, Covid19, relevant insurances)

For Standard and Pro Members:

For Pro members: preferably have Qualmark accreditation, in the process of obtaining it or planning to obtain it.
Have an up-to-date Health & Safety policy in place (tailored to their agritourism business) and the relevant indemnity insurances.
Have a website with preferably an online booking system (to increase direct bookings) and social media channels (to encourage direct booking). If you don't have this, we can help you, if you want.
Commitment to delivering an exceptional visitor experience (with great reviews on various sites such as Tripadvisor and Google))
Be committed to environmental sustainability
Use #agritourismnz in social media posts
Have relevant Agritourism.nz logo on your website (with link back to www.agritourism.nz)
