A new Regional Agritourism Network is being set up for Manawatū and Whanganui and will launch on the 27th of October 2026 from 2.30pm - 5.30pm at Romney Lane Homestead in Kiwitea, Feilding. Join the festive launch to hear all about the Regional Network and its activities, connect with other agritourism operators, farmers exploring agritourism and rural businesses interested in creating high-quality visitor experiences.

Meet your Regional Leaders
Louise Oskam – Regional Co-Leader, Manawatū / Whanganui Louise and her husband, Peter, operate Takahuri Glamping Domes and That Place Mountain Bike Park on their family farm beside the Whanganui River. Their offering includes off-grid glamping, camping, mountain biking, walking trails, wellness retreats, forest bathing and nature-based experiences among redwood forest and regenerating native bush. Steph Strahan - Regional Co-Leader, Manawatū / Whanganui Ian and Steph Strahan are the third generation to farm the land, they live approximately 5 minutes drive from the recently renovated historic Romney Lane Homestead, at the other end of the farm with their three teenage girls. Ian is deeply passionate about farming and takes pride in sharing New Zealand’s unique farming story with visitors. Steph, equally involved in the day-to-day farm operations, brings her enthusiasm for local produce and fine food to the experience and runs Romney Lane Homestead.
